The name for this picture arose from a conversation about things I'll never understand. Quite literally. It is a difficult thing to ponder specifically the things we do not understand, and picture the explanations these things acquire many many years in the future. At least that's what I got out of it. Showing a picture to many people usually comes at the price of continued work on the picture. This one withstood that test, as the days following the foreign observation were as rewarding and productive as those that came before, if not more so. This particular picture was also the first where I experienced any sense of beauty caused directly by what I had put down on paper. It was nice.
