Even though some things change, others stay quite the same.
I guess this particular style of mine is more a way to organize my thoughts than any attempt to create something particularly meaningful or significant. Drawing creates a very smooth stream of thought in my head that allows me to somewhat face the multitude of thoughts, ideas, and maybe even 'feelings' that find their way in there. There is just something soothing about making slightly curved, smoothly shaded lines.
It always strikes me as strange how the part of these sorts of drawings where I start ends up looking slightly different from the rest. Usually there is a bit more definition and perhaps even a more concrete form or object there. Then the drawing inevitably degenerates into the same lined mess that is probably some indication of the orderliness of my thinking processes. Usually the starting point is on the upper left (as it is in this one) because drawing from upper left to bottom right allows me to not worry bout smearing the graphite with my unwieldy wrist palm hand thing.
