gerk. It's a mess I know, but its the first drawing I did with new art toys I got. Specifically pen and ink (with nibs! nibs make me happy). It is a strange medium and requires patience and calmness and foresight. The usual scribbling that signals the beginning of a drawing usually fills up the page with too much extraneous black mess to leave much room for refinement or sanity. I can see the appeal for something like tracing over a mostly completed pencil drawing and then continuing by applying some sort of colored watercolory substance. Maybe I'll get around to doing something like that in the future. For now, hopefully the act of posting this will encourage further exploration of the potential of a strange new tool.
