Well, in keeping with the early work trend, in a similar vein to fdas, this was done during the very beginning. Unbridled introspection is a scary thing. If you've got all sorts of twisted things inside I guess. If not, well you're very fortunate. More exploration of my shading abilities, strange how it just works. The key is figuring out the shading of a sphere and then figuring out how the shading changes when the surface's shape changes. Depth and perspective and whatnot are a bit secondary at this point, just trying to figure out what I'm capable of and what the pen is capable of and the meaning of the universe.
